...and now for the leading lady!

On Sunday I posted a blog about two of the most important men in my life. You didn't think I would do that without posting one about the leading lady in my life, did you??? This blog is dedicated to the woman in my life that I look up to the most. This woman is my best-friend. No matter when or where, I know that I can turn to her with any problem that I'm facing. This woman always has time for me. She is the most loving, caring and dependent woman I know. Not only is she my saving grace....she is my mother. And now, she is my son's grandmother. I know that she will also be his best-friend, and that no matter when or where, Carter will be able to turn to her with any problem that he is facing. I also know that she will always have time for him. And for that, I am extremely grateful. I could not ask for a better mother. Carter may not realize it now, but my mother, Anita Lois Minton, is and always will be the best grandmother a grandson could ask for!! I love you Mom!

fall & sundays....two of my favorite things

Fall is my favorite time of the year. The crispness and smell of the air is just so refreshing. Sunday is my favorite day of the week. It's the one day that Greg, Carter and I just hang out together and take it easy. Today we went to my grandpa's farm and just drove around in the woods....Carter loves trees!! Afterwards we visited with Tenille and Reece Ingram. Carter played in the leaves for the first time at their house. What fun!! Always making memories!

my dad, my hero, my rock

I wanted to share a picture with everyone of two of the most important men in my life....my dad and my son (my husband and my brother are the other two most important). This picture was taken in my mom & dad's front yard, which is where dad and Carter spend a lot of their time together. This picture just touches my heart...I honestly don't know what I would do without these two guys! So, I would like to dedicate this blog to my dad, James Allen Minton, my hero and my rock!!

friends from the past

Greg, Carter & I just got home from visiting one of Greg's best friends from his past, Brad McKinney. I just recently started working with Brad, so since then they have started talking again. It's not that anything bad happened between them....life just happened!! Brad has a family, and now Greg does too. Anyway, it's weird how the people you are the closest to in life still seem to fade away as time goes by. "Life" happens and you just go your own ways. For me, it's been my marriage, my schooling, my work, and most recently my new baby boy that has taken up all of my time. I love all of those things, but I do miss my old friends. It was so nice being able to see Greg & Brad reminiscing tonight about all their crazy times. It made me think about my old friends, especially Lynsey J.. Lynsey was my other half, the sister I never had, my best-friend, my partner in crime!!!! I miss her so much, but life is happening for both of us right now. We should all take the time, however, to make the time to visit those we used to be so close to!! So, Lynsey, if you're reading this....just know that I still love you girl, and I miss you!!!

Julia rocks!!

This week Julia Holman, AKA Julia Christopher Photography, came to my house and took pictures of Carter. She was supposed to take my maternity pics, but the day we had set up was the day I ended up being induced. Since then, our schedules have never worked out to where we could get together. So, on Friday we finally were able to meet up. And I must say, it was completely worth the wait. She is so awesome!! I absolutely love the pictures she took of my little man.
