Totally engrossed in the newest addition of PEOPLE magazine, I never even heard little man crawl into the kitchen. After a few minutes I noticed that things were a little too quiet. I went on the search for C and this is what I found.......
Needless to say I had to get a picture, and I had myself a good laugh!
Moral of the story: Don't leave groceries sitting in the kitchen floor!!!

"Not me!" Mondays
"We don't need a priest in order to have confession 'round these here parts! I created Not Me! Monday for the purpose of confessing our shortcomings and imperfections to each other since, after all, we are all only human." - mckmama
"Not me" Mondays, created by mckmama, is my newest addiction. I've been reading in on other mom's confessions for a while, and finally decided to join in the fun! So, here goes....
This past week, I totally did not forget to give my son a bath for 4 days in a row. I am not the most forgetful mom on the planet so I would never forget to bathe him. Nor would I forget to feed the dogs. While grocery shopping I did not buy an extra bag of cookies to stash away so my husband wouldn't find them...we share everything. And I did not sit and watch my son unroll an entire roll of toilet paper because I was too lazy to get up and stop him. I'm never lazy. For a friends baby shower I did not re-gift gifts I received at my baby shower 11 months ago that still had the tags on them...I mean, who does that???
Although I have more confessions from last week, right now I am not going to just pile up in the recliner with my book since my son just went down for a nap. I am going to wash dishes, do laundry, mop the floors, dust, make the beds.....yadda, yadda, yadda. Wait, who am I kidding??? Recliner and book...here I come!!

Take a little time to enjoy this little guy!
Just wanted to share a few new pictures of Carter.
In this picture Carter was enjoying the unseasonably warm weather (67 degrees) outside on the back deck. Needless to say, after his day "out" a bath was badly needed!!
After using some of the juice of this lemon to make cookies I let Carter get a taste. Believe it or not, he never even flenched. I actually had to pry it out of his hands!

While Greg was working on putting our new front and back door in Carter decided he needed to wear Daddy's safety glasses. I think they looked much better on him!!
My little man turned 9 months old this past Saturday. It doesn't seem possible that he should be that old already. I better start planning his first birthday party....I'm sure it will be here before I know it!!

what day is it again???
2 weeks...you mean it's actually been almost that long since I last posted?!?! Time goes by so quickly, and as a stay-at-home mom, I can never keep up with the days. What is today anyway? Wednesday? No, no...it's Thursday.
So, my latest project is to get my salon up and running...again. This time I MEAN IT!! I am in the process of finding a babysitter for Carter, in the process of advertising, in the process of cleaning up...you name it, I'm doing it. I just figured "I went to school for 2 1/2 years, I have all the resources...what the hey, why not!". I must also admit that the $$$$$ is really good, too....better than nursing if I get a clientele built up and stay busy. Plus, the hours are much more flexible, and I'll still be able to spend plenty of time with Carter. AND...what's not to like about being my own boss?? That's a luxury that most people would kill for!!
If you find that it's another two weeks before I post again, hopefully it's because I can't put down my shears long enough to pick up a computer! Wish me luck....and if you need a trim, color, shampoo...COME SEE ME!!!
